It’s world Gin day today and I am going tell you a little story.
On the 31st January 2018, I received a DM from Andi @islandgin and she asked if she could come around and do a taste test with me and of course I said yes!
This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship with a truly inspiring woman and master distiller!
The first cocktail (and there has been a few more since then) was the aviation.
So today, I have recreated one of my favourite cocktails with a sample of the new batch of @islandgin that is going to be released very soon.
15ml Lemon Juice
15ml Crème de violette
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until combined. Double strain into your favourite cocktail coupe with the clearest ice you can make. .
Served on my favourite glory tray that I found on a little vintage shopping trip with Andi

It is created on Great Barrier Island AOTEA New Zealand. It is the Southern Hemisphere’s most remote sustainable gin.
