Mite Bite Martini

‘Mite bite Martini’

When I heard about @archierosesyd limited release ArchieMite Buttered Toast Spirit, I just knew I had to try it

The spirit was Inspired by Australia’s love for umami-rich breakfast spreads i.e @vegemite featuring freshly churned, uncultured Pepe Saya butter and Sonoma sourdough toast.

This unaged spirit is delicious. Right up my taste alley. I love the savoury umami characters and could not wait to get mixing.

First, let’s start with the rim.

I rubbed @vegemite Cheesymite (milder in flavour than regular vegemite) around the rim of @topglassware and sprinkled with homemade crushed dehydrated black tomato flakes (OMG YUM)

For the cocktail I used:

  • 60ml @archierosesyd ArchieMite
  • 15ml Noilly Prat Original French Dry Vermouth
  • 15ml Homemade Tomato Water
  • Dash of Olive Bitters
  • 4 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and and shake vigorously until combined.

Double strain into your pre-rimmed glass and garnish with a dehydrated black tomato

I love all the savoury deliciousness in this sip. I know it won’t be everyone cup of tea, but it sure was mine!
