NATIONAL PISCO SOUR DAY!
🌸
Pisco is a brandy produced in winemaking regions of Peru and Chile. It is created by distilling fermented grape juice into a high-proof spirit.
🌸
The drink’s name comes from pisco, which is its base liquor, and the cocktail term sour, in reference to sour citrus juice and sweetener components (@wikipedia)
🌸
There is much debate about the true origins of the pisco sour! But for now, we know it’s birthplace is Peru. (@piscotrail)
🌸
Today, I have created a Dragonfruit Pisco Sour to celebrate!
🌸
I used:
60ml Pisco from @thepiscopeople
30ml Lime
15ml Lower Sugar Dragonfruit Syrup
30ml Aquafaba..
🌸
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously with ice for around 1 minute
🌸
Double strain into your favourite cocktail glass. Wait for the foam to settle and garnish with dehydrated Dragonfruit (which is incredibly delicious btw)
🌸
#febfast update: I created the syrup with 1/4 cup sugar instead of 1 cup. I also used aquafaba as it is lower in calories than egg whites.
🌸
Salud!
