Skinos Paloma

From Greece to the world…Yesterday I had an amazing time @tirnavosimports sampling some Tsipouro, Ouzo and Mastiha. I bought a bottle of Mastiha @skinos_mastiha_spirit.

Mastiha comes from an island in Greece called Chios and there is only one part of the island where it is grown. It is not grown anywhere else in the world! .

Mastiha is a liqueur seasoned with mastic, a resin gathered from the mastic tree, a small evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region. The name of the resin, hence the name of the drink, is derived from the Greek “to chew, to gnash the teeth” (@wikipedia )

@skinos_mastiha_spirit is absolutely delicious and you can drink it neat. It is also a fabulous aperitif! It is claimed, the sap of the Masticha tree has medicinal properties, but you don’t need an excuse to drink this beauty. It really is sweet and absolutely delicious. It also surprised me cause I am not usually a sweet kind of gal!

I have created a so so simple Skinos Paloma…all you need is @skinos_mastiha_spirit , fresh lime juice and grapefruit soda.

Result: I have found a new love 💕

Have you tried Mastiha?
