Today marks the 150th anniversary of Canada, also known as the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Here is my tribute to our Commonwealth friends @cheerscanada150 simply called ‘Oh Canada Margarita’

Recipe:
100mls reposado tequila infused with bacon & Jalapeño*
30mls @cointreau_officiel 
90mls freshly squeezed lime juice
15mls Canadian 🍁 Maple Syrup
Margarita glass rimmed with maple syrup & crispy bacon**

Result: With glowing hearts, we see these incredible taste explosions:

📍Spicy
📍Sweet

*I infused one rasher of charred crispy bacon and one slice of Jalapeño in @espolontequila in Reposado tequila for 24 hours. Triple strain into cocktail glass.

**I chopped finely 2 rashes of smokey bacon and fried until crispy. Allow to cool. Rim Margarita glass liberally with Canadian maple syrup. Place glass upside down and ‘stick’ bacon pieces to glass. I put the glass upside down in the fridge for 24 hours for maximum adhesion.
