Rum Time

Today I am getting my Rum on!

On my recent trip to Kenya, I tried a few delicious rum based cocktails so I thought I would mix up some of my own.

These recipe idea were inspired by Evan @barmanev

I created 2 – one with @malibu_rum and one with @_havanaclub No 3

  • 60ml rum
  • 15ml @campariofficial
  • 20ml Lime Juice
  • 20ml homemade lower sugar pineapple ­čŹŹ syrup*
  • 2 drops polite amour @scrappysbitters

Served on upcycled pineapple skin coasters. Garnish is pineapple skin and mint. Glasses are from @vinniesvictoria

Which Rum would you choose? Can you guess which one I liked the best?

Pineapple Syrup:

To make the pineapple syrup, simply place 1 cup of water, 1 cup of fresh pineapple and 1/4 cup into saucepan. Bring to the boil, reduce to a simmer until the liquid halves. Allow to cool. Pour into a steralised jar and refrigerate overnight.
