This is a question I get asked all the time!
Today’s inspiration came from Justine Schofield
She made a delicious tomato, strawberry and balsamic salad on Everyday Gourmet
So I made the salad and these flavours really did just go so amazingly well together!
I then used this inspiration to create a syrup that I could use in a Margarita!
I created the Syrup with:
- 55 grams cherry tomatoes
- 55 grams fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup of good Quality balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Water
All you have to do is place all ingredients in saucepan, bring to the boil and then reduce to a simmer until the liquid halves.
I created this margarita with:
- 30ml Reposado Tequila
- 15ml Cointreau
- 30ml Lime Juice.
- Simply pour your desired amount of the syrup over this delicious classic margarita (I used 15ml)
