Yes, it’s another watermelon margarita but today I set about creating a Skinny Watermelon and Basil Margarita. I attempted to make a skinny basil syrup that didn’t exactly go to plan. I used 1 cup of water, half a cup of organic stevia and a generous handful of basil. It was going well until it cooled down…it re-crystallised. And the sweetness of the stevia almost overpowered the basil flavour. This is what I did with it.
I placed all ingredients in a blender and whizzed on high speed until combined. It was a bit sweet (for my liking) so I garnished with some lime zest and it tasted a bit better.
The good news is the recipe came in at 154 calories and 10 grams carbohydrates
