Okay, so it’s the 1st August and I totally missed Dry July. I have totally over indulged in the cold Melbourne weather…. so I am kick starting a month of Margarita Mum healthiness in preparation for just the off chance that someone wants to take me away to a tropical island in the coming warmer months.

For the next 31 days, I will feature one lower calorie, lower carb, fermented and/or immunity boosting tantalising margarita recipe idea each day to help get me bikini (dreaming!) ready for summer.

Let’s kick start with my Blueberry Basil Margarita Margarita (this idea came from a recent post by @interactive_dude)
Recipe:
30mls Reposado Tequila
15mls triple sec.
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
30mls freshly squeezed lime juice.
4 small basil leaves.
I mixed all the ingredients together along with some ice in @thermomixaus for 1 minute on speed 9.
Result: Tart, sour and tangy…it really packs a punch!
