Melon Mexican Margarita

It’s the 5th May and it is Cinco de Mayo Day! Let’s start the day with my ‘Melon Mexican Margarita’

Recipe:

60mls Blanco @sesiontequila
30mls @patron orange citronage
60mls freshly squeezed lime juice
1 large cup assorted frozen melon balls (watermelon, honeydew and rockmelon)
from @costco
60mls Filberts watermelon Soda

How to: Whiz all ingredients in a blender (except the soda) until blended. Gently stir through the soda. Pour into cocktail glasses and garnish and fill with frozen melon balls.

Result: This takes me back to the university days of drinking @midoriaustralia and lemonade…

Cinco de Mayo pronounced: [ˈsiŋko ðe ˈmaʝo]; Spanish for “Fifth of May”) is a celebration held on May 5. The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza (courtesy of#wikipedia)
