Arette Tommy Margaritas

The fabulous amigos at @mextradeaustralia very kindly sent me a bottle of @tequila_arette .

Tequila Arette Reposado is the tequila used to make the original Tommy Margarita by Julio Bermejo of Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco. It is made by the Orendain family, one of the pioneering Tequila Families in their original distillery from 1900. All of the agave is estate grown for eight years before being cooked at a low temperature for four times longer than industry standard to allow the sugars to caramelize properly – just one of the reasons it tastes so delicious! After being distilled, it is rested in ex-bourbon barrels for approximately 6 months depending on the conditions and the taste profile as determined by the master distiller Eduardo Orendain.

This is how I made the Tommy Margarita:

45mls @tequila_arette Reposado.

30mls freshly squeezed lime juice.

15mls @syrupbaron Agave Syrup.

Result: There could not possibly be a better drink on this stunning Saturday afternoon in Melbourne ☀️
